Founded by Christian Flinn in 2011, Flinn Inspection Group, LLC is a family owned and operated company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
Christian Flinn’s extensive background in new construction and remodeling industries made him a natural to enter the home inspections business and in less than 5 years, he has built his fledgling enterprise into a powerhouse company handing more than 1000 inspections a year..

Christian Flinn
Owner / Certified InterNACHI Home Inspector
Christian Flinn is the owner of Flinn Inspection Group and a graduate of Heidelberg College. His journey in real estate began in the early 2000s as a builder with Ryan Homes in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. After returning to Columbus, he launched his own remodeling and construction company, where he built homes, finished basements, constructed additions, and managed around 25 rental properties. Following the real estate market collapse in 2008, Christian shifted his focus to home inspections.
Today, through hard work, faith, and support from his family and friends, he leads one of the most respected inspection companies in the region. When not working, Christian enjoys time at the gym with his wife, watching their kids play sports, riding his Harley, traveling, or relaxing on the water at his lake house.
Regan Flinn
CFO
Regan Flinn is the CFO of Flinn Inspection Group and has been with the company since its inception. Over the years, she has worn many hats and played a key role in shaping the company’s growth and long-term success. Regan’s ongoing goal is to continue building Flinn Inspection Group into a trusted, well-established landmark in Central Ohio through strong leadership, financial stewardship, and a commitment to excellence.
Outside of her role at Flinn Inspection Group, Regan is a full-time real estate agent and also manages the family’s rental properties and vacation homes. She enjoys spending time with her two cats and, of course, keeping up with their three very active children. Regan’s passions include design and décor, traveling, fitness, animals, being outdoors, and anything water-related. She is also deeply committed to giving back and has been actively involved in charitable work supporting animals, the homeless, and underserved communities, with a special focus on helping children.
April Garner
Office Manager
April began her career gaining experience as an administrative assistant while also establishing herself as a respected office coordinator and business analyst for the State of Ohio. Highly organized and deeply dedicated, she serves as Office Manager with a strong mission rooted in service and support. April is best known for her genuine passion for helping others and ensuring both clients and team members feel informed, supported, and cared for.
Outside of work, April is an active volunteer and serves as team manager for her two sons’ travel hockey teams. She and her husband recently relocated from Ohio to the Nashville area but will always remain Buckeyes at heart. In her downtime, April channels her creativity through design and décor, especially enjoying refurbishing old furniture and bringing new life to well-loved pieces through her artistic talent.
Chad Auber
General Manager/ Certified InterNACHI Home Inspector
Serves as the General Manager at Flinn Inspection Group, where he oversees all inspection operations and plays a key role in training and mentoring inspectors. With 10+ years of experience in the home inspection industry and more than 4,500 inspections completed, Chad brings extensive field knowledge and leadership to the team. He is passionate about education, quality control, and helping inspectors grow into confident, successful professionals.
Chad and his wife are homeowners and share their home with their border collie, Miley, and their golden retriever, Jolene (aka JoJo). They are also excited to be welcoming a new addition to their family in 2026. Outside of work, Chad enjoys golfing, playing video games, watching football, and traveling
Kimberly Thompson
Customer Support Specialist
Kim is the friendly voice that schedules all your inspections. She has a strong background in customer service and support. Her background includes work in nonprofit organizations, law enforcement, and medical practice. She and her husband are empty nesters and spend their weekends traveling to see their daughter’s band perform all over central Ohio and Nashville.
John Peck
Certified InterNACHI Home Inspector
John Peck is a licensed home inspector in both Ohio and Florida with over 7 years of experience and more than 2,000 inspections completed. As a Certified Master Inspector through InterNACHI, he brings a high level of professionalism and expertise to every inspection.
He is also experienced in Sewer Camera inspections, Mold testing, New Build Phase inspections, and Pool Inspections. He is also certified in Wood-Destroying Insect (termite) inspections. John finds the greatest satisfaction in helping clients gain insight and peace of mind during the home buying process.
Outside of work, John has a creative side—he and his wife, Jo, enjoy participating in local craft show events. Married for 31 years, they have two grown children and three beloved grandchildren who are the pride of their lives.
Tim Sutherland
Certified InterNACHI Home Inspector
Born and raised in Columbus, Tim is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, he has owned and operated several small businesses, bringing a wealth of hands-on knowledge to every inspection. Tim is an InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector and holds certifications in Radon testing and Wood-Destroying Insect (termite) inspections. He is also experienced in Sewer Camera inspections, Mold testing, and New Build Phase inspections.
A devoted husband and father of three boys, Tim is deeply involved in his community. He spends his free time coaching Little League baseball and giving back through local events. When he can, he enjoys attending hockey games and taking in live performances at Shadowbox Theatre.
Dylan Scott
Certified InterNACHI Home Inspector
Dylan is a licensed home inspector in Ohio with nearly nine years of experience and close to 3,000 inspections completed. Having worked his way up from the ground level in the inspection industry, he brings a well-rounded perspective and genuine empathy to clients—especially those navigating the home inspection process for the first time.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Dylan is thorough, detail-oriented, and well-equipped to evaluate properties and identify potential concerns. He is licensed to perform Wood-Destroying Insect (termite) inspections and is currently in the process of renewing his radon certification. What motivates him most is helping clients better understand the homes they’re considering and empowering them to make confident, informed decisions.
Outside of work, Dylan enjoys sports, working on cars, traveling, camping, watching movies, and spending time with his two nephews.
Austin Plahuta
Certified InterNACHI Home Inspector
Austin is a licensed home inspector in Ohio who completed his professional training through the American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT) program. He brings a strong background in residential construction and property management, along with a genuine passion for helping clients better understand their homes.
Prior to joining the inspection industry, Austin spent approximately four years working in residential contracting and property management, gaining hands-on experience with decks, patios, renovations, additions, and general home maintenance. This practical field experience gives him valuable insight into building systems, common defects, and long-term performance of residential structures.
Austin approaches every inspection with a detail-oriented, thorough mindset and takes pride in delivering clear, easy-to-understand reports that help clients make confident decisions.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys staying active in the gym, following sports, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
